Bacterial cultures and antibiograms in dermatology: how to get clinically useful information
Bacterial cultures and antibiograms (sensitivity testing) are very useful tools in clinical dermatology. However, in some cases the interpretation of the results and the correlation with the clinical presentation can be challenging. In this talk we will discuss how to obtain adequate samples in different types of skin infections and the best interpretation of the results, considering all the clinical data of the patient.
